FAQ¶

First, what people ask before they trust it: what it sees, what leaves your device and what it costs. Then everyday use and, at the end, devices.

What does Saelyx see of my screen and my camera?¶

Only what you switch on. Seeing the screen is off by default and asks for your consent the first time; you turn the camera on and off yourself. While it sees your screen there is an always-visible indicator, and a local log keeps only when and for how long, never what it saw. Details in Talking to Saelyx and Privacy and your data.

What leaves my device?¶

Live voice goes through an external voice provider. The text on your screen is recognised on your own device, and with macOS 26 or later dictation with the 🌐 key is transcribed on your Mac, with no network. What travels is processed on the spot and is not kept to train models. The rest is in the privacy policy.

Does it do things without asking me?¶

It does not ask about creating or editing every time. Before sending, deleting, publishing, running a command with an effect or making a payment click, it reads it out and waits for your yes.

How much does it cost?¶

There are two plans: Free and Pro, which costs €9.99 a month or €99 a year, VAT included. Dictating with the 🌐 key is free and has no counter. There is no lock-in: you cancel from your account and keep the plan until the paid period ends. Everything in Account and plans and on Pricing.

How do I get access?¶

Access is by invitation. You ask for it with “Request access” and we write back as soon as it is approved. The steps are in Getting started in 5 minutes.

Is it an AI? Can it be wrong?¶

Yes to both. It talks to you through artificial intelligence and can be wrong: check anything that matters before you decide. The roles (Doctor, Lawyer, Financial advisor…) guide; they do not replace a professional.

How do I delete my data or cancel?¶

On the web, Account → Data downloads everything of yours as JSON or deletes your account, and deletion cannot be undone. For the subscription, Account → Billing. Memory and skills can be deleted separately from their own screens.

What is a unit, and why do I run out?¶

A unit is one minute talking to the agent. Other things cost more or less: a meeting without voice, 0.25 a minute; screen or camera outside a meeting, 8. Dictating with 🌐 costs nothing. The full table is on Pricing and the caps are in Known limitations.

Does it understand English?¶

Yes: Saelyx speaks and understands Spanish and English.

Can it run a meeting without being heard?¶

Yes. Meeting Mode is silent: it transcribes, whispers what to say in a floating panel and leaves you the minutes at the end. With “Record only” it says nothing during the meeting and just leaves you the minutes. It is Pro. See Meetings and minutes.

Can I save the minutes to OneDrive or send them by Outlook?¶

Yes, if you connect Microsoft 365. With a personal account you get OneDrive and Outlook; SharePoint and Teams need a work or school account. Sending takes two steps and nothing goes out without your confirmation. More in Microsoft 365.

What does it remember about me, and can I delete it?¶

It remembers names, preferences and context between conversations. You see it as a list of sentences, and you edit and delete it, also by voice. It is covered in Memory, knowledge and notes.

Does it work with Odoo and Jira?¶

Yes, on the Pro plan. You read and search by voice; whatever it writes (a comment, hours, a status change) goes through a confirmation card. How to connect them is in Connectors.

Does it work on Windows, Android or in the browser?¶

The apps are for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. In the browser (also on Windows, Linux or Chromebook) you get your account and a text chat, without voice. There is no Android app.

Does the Apple Watch work without the iPhone?¶

No: it needs the iPhone nearby the whole time. How to activate it is in Devices.

Can I control my Mac from the iPhone?¶

Yes, with Remote: you pair the two with a 6-digit code. Terminal commands are always confirmed on the Mac. See Devices.
