Glossary¶
The terms Saelyx uses in the app and in this documentation, in alphabetical order.
Connector. A connection between Saelyx and another tool of yours: Odoo, Jira, your calendar (Google or Outlook) or Microsoft 365. Not to be confused with the Connector for Claude, which works the other way round: it lets Claude read, read-only, data from your Saelyx. See Connectors.
Free. The plan at no cost: voice, chat, attaching files, your knowledge and importing, with caps, plus dictation with the 🌐 key with no counter. See Account and plans.
Meeting Mode. Saelyx does not speak: it transcribes the meeting on your device, whispers what to say in a floating panel (the teleprompter, which lets clicks through) and leaves you the minutes at the end. It is Pro.
Memory. What Saelyx remembers about you between sessions and devices: names, preferences and context. You see it as a list of sentences, and you edit and delete it, also by voice. See Memory, knowledge and notes.

There are four types: generic, sales discovery, technical standup and HR interview. On the Mac you can edit them, export them to PDF or Markdown and merge two. See Meetings and minutes.
Permission block. Each group of Microsoft 365 permissions that you grant separately: Calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook mail and Teams chat. Microsoft only asks for the one you switch on. See Microsoft 365.

Pro. The paid plan: €9.99 a month or €99 a year, VAT included. It opens all of Saelyx's features and gives 60 units a month.
Record only. A variant of Meeting Mode: it says nothing during the meeting, transcribes on your device and leaves you the minutes at the end. It spends no meeting minutes or units.
Remote. The feature that lets your iPhone or iPad ask Saelyx to open files, list folders, take captures or run commands on your Mac, paired with a 6-digit code. See Devices.
Repository. The destination where Saelyx copies the minutes: a folder in your OneDrive (Saelyx/Actas by default) or a SharePoint library. It is set up under “Save and send…”.
Role. A specialty Saelyx takes on when talking to you: the usual assistant or one of 14 specialists (Engineer, DevOps, Doctor, Teacher, Financial advisor, Lawyer, Psychologist, Dietitian, Translator, Writer, Scientist, Esthetician, Veterinarian or Self-help). Roles guide; they do not replace a professional. See Talking to Saelyx.
Skill. A reusable procedure or preference that Saelyx learns in the background. You see them and delete them one by one or all at once.
Unit. The measure of your allowance: one minute talking to the agent is one unit. A meeting without voice costs 0.25 a minute, and screen or camera outside a meeting, 8. Pro includes 60 a month; Free, 20 welcome units, once. Dictating with 🌐 spends none. See Known limitations.
Whisper Mode. On the iPhone and iPad, clean and silent dictation whose text comes out in any app through the Saelyx keyboard. See Dictation and keyboard.
