Install and update¶

Saelyx works on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch and, for text chat and your account, in the browser. This page covers each channel, how it stays up to date and how to remove it. For a quick first conversation, go to Getting started in 5 minutes instead.

Pick your channel¶

Mac¶

1. Go to Download. You need an account and to be signed in: without one the page sends you to Request access. The download starts on its own; if it does not, press Download for Mac.
2. Open the .dmg file, which is in your Downloads folder.
3. Drag Saelyx to Applications, like any Mac app, no installers.
4. Open it and sign in. The welcome walks you through the permissions (see Getting started in 5 minutes); the others are requested when you turn on the feature that needs them (see System permissions).

Saelyx has its icon in the menu bar. If you want it to start with your Mac, turn on Ajustes → General → Arranque → Iniciar Saelyx al arrancar el Mac (Settings → General → Startup → Start Saelyx when the Mac starts).

Updating the Mac¶

The app has its own updater, so there is nothing to download again:

• It checks for a new version every hour while it is open.
• When there is one, a «Hay una versión nueva» (a new version is available) prompt appears with an Instalar (Install) button. It never installs silently: you decide.
• To force a check, use Buscar actualizaciones… (Check for updates…) in the app menu, right after «Acerca de» (About).
• The installed version shows at the bottom left of Settings.

iPhone and iPad¶

Install Saelyx from the App Store. It is available in Spain and across the European Union, and access is still by invitation. It is the same app for iPhone and iPad.

When you open it you see three welcome screens and then the sign-in. It updates like any other App Store app; the version you have shows at the foot of the Más (More) tab.

Apple Watch¶

The watch app accompanies the iPhone app and needs watchOS 11 or later. It is activated in one of two ways:

1. From the iPhone: open Saelyx on the iPhone once and it activates on the watch by itself.
2. With a code: on the iPhone, Más → Tu cuenta → Emparejar Apple Watch → Generar código (More → Your account → Pair Apple Watch → Generate code); on the watch, open Saelyx, tap Con código (With code) and type the 6 digits. It is single-use and expires after 5 minutes.

It talks to the same agent as the iPhone and does not work on its own: it needs the iPhone within reach.

Browser¶

In any browser you can write to Saelyx and open your account at saelyx.ai: memory, knowledge, notes, files, meetings and billing. There is no voice in the browser. If the download page detects a system without an app, it offers Chat in the browser.

Uninstall¶

• Mac: quit Saelyx from the menu bar menu (Salir de Saelyx, Quit Saelyx) and drag the app from Applications to the Trash. If you first want to clear what this Mac stores, use Ajustes → Cuenta → Borrar API Key y datos locales (Settings → Account → Delete API key and local data): it removes the key from the keychain, the Mac preferences and the welcome, and you would have to set Saelyx up from scratch.
• iPhone and iPad: remove the app like any other.
