Getting started in 5 minutes

From nothing to your first conversation. You need a Mac running macOS 13 or later and access to Saelyx, which is by invitation. Most of the time goes on granting permissions.

Note

The apps are in Spanish today. Button and menu names appear as they are on screen, with an English gloss in brackets.

1. Request access and sign in

  1. If you do not have access yet, ask for it on Request access: your name, your email and what you want Saelyx for. We write to you with the sign-in link as soon as it is approved.
  2. Once access is approved, go to Sign in, type your email and press Send code. A 6-digit code arrives; type it in and you are in. There are no passwords.

If you try to sign in before you are approved, the screen tells you so and links you to the request.

2. Install Saelyx on the Mac

  1. Download the installer from Download. The download starts on its own if you are already signed in.
  2. Open the .dmg file (it is in Downloads) and drag Saelyx to Applications.
  3. Open it. On the sign-in screen press Ya tengo cuenta · Iniciar sesión (I already have an account · Sign in): the browser opens and, once you confirm, you come back to the app.

3. Talk to Saelyx

Saelyx has its icon in the menu bar. To start:

  • Press the 🌐 (Fn) key on your Mac, or the Despertar a Saelyx (Wake Saelyx) button on the home screen.
  • Speak naturally. You can interrupt it mid-sentence.
  • Press 🌐 again to stop. If you neither speak nor type to it for 3 minutes it goes to sleep on its own and stops using your allowance.

On the Free plan you get 20 welcome units, once only: that is 20 minutes of talking. Dictation with the 🌐 key is unlimited and uses no units. More in Account and plans.

4. Grant permissions when it asks

The Mac welcome walks you through Micrófono (Microphone), Grabación de pantalla (Screen Recording) and Accesibilidad (Accessibility), and ends with the 🌐 key. Each screen explains what the permission is for. Other permissions are only requested when you turn on the feature that needs them.

Note

macOS applies the screen recording permission only after the app is restarted. If you grant it while Saelyx is open, restart it from Ajustes → Pantalla (Settings → Screen).

5. Connect your iPhone

  1. Install Saelyx from the App Store (iOS 17 or later).
  2. Press Iniciar sesión (Sign in) and use the same email: you will get another 6-digit code.
  3. With the same account, your memory, notes and files follow you from one device to another.

If you use an Apple Watch, on the iPhone go to Más → Tu cuenta → Emparejar Apple Watch → Generar código (More → Your account → Pair Apple Watch → Generate code); on the watch open Saelyx, tap Con código (With code) and type the 6 digits. The code is single-use and expires after 5 minutes. You can also open Saelyx on the iPhone once and the watch activates by itself.
